Savannah

Savannah, Georgia. Susi and I drove through seven hours of rain and finally got to spend the day wandering around Savannah and sitting in a coffee shop updating the page. The city is beautiful with numerous squares like the one pictured above. Posted by Hello

Heading North????

Spoke with the dealership today and Hans is complete and we are going tomorrow to pick her up...I mean him up at the dealership in Virginia tommorow. After we take care of the dealership bleeding Susi and I to death for all of our money we are going to be heading to the Outer Banks and then to Savannah. Thanks to all the Knoxville crowd and you too Erik for making the time down South fun. Oh by the way the North didn't want Mike anyway so I am glad y'all took him.

Car fixed

Hey everyone still in Tennesse hanging out with Mike and Erik having a great ole time. We have been spending all of our time running around and when it rained the other day we got to spend an entire day of just sitting around loafing, something Susi and I have not done much of yet. We went to Chattanooga this Saturday and had an amazing time of bouldering in one of the best places I have ever been to here on the east coast. I will post some of the photos that Mike took while we were there climbing. Still waiting to find out the status of the car....the dealership still hasn't confirmed when the vehicle will be completed. Will keep everyone informed when we are moving on to the Keys.

Welcome to Tennesse

Well it is official I can't remember the date so I must be on vacation. Mike Delia has put us up in his casa here in Knoxville and is showing us around and introducing us to everyone. Susi, Mike and I climbed at the Obed yesterday and bouldered at the Lily Boulders today. Erik Goedhart is coming down to hang out with all of us tonight and we will be going to the Obed again tommorow for some hanging out and maybe some climbing.....

Mike Delia, Susi and I spent the day in the Lily Boulders. What a beautiful day of bouldering and just plain hanging out with friends. Erik Goedhart is going to be rolling into town tonight coming off of his world poker tour win. Thanks for dinner Erik Posted by Hello

The Day "Hans" Quit

Susi and I are in Virginia and are having some vehicle trouble. Hans the ever so trusty VW gave her last breath and decided that she didn't like the taste of coolant. Needless to say we have purchased a new engine which will hopefully like coolant and not overheat or crack.

Preparing "Hans" for the Trip

Susi and I have spent several weeks preparing "Hans" (a good German name for a car) for our maiden voyage. Hans is a 88 Volkswagon Westphalia Camper with all the ammenities. Every good VW van must have a Hula Girl. Today Susi and I said goodbye to my family and are heading out to Maryland to visit friends.
