Mt Rushmore

Susi and I have spent the last few days in the Spearfish Mountains with people we met in Ten Sleep the previous week. We heard there was some good climbing and free camping.....thanks again Walmart. Susi still hasn't been feeling well and I believe it is because all the time she has been spending in front of a computer looking for a job.....not sure it could be my beard. Thanks again to the Spearfish climbing crew that showed us around we really appreciate it. After leaving Spearfish South Dakota we drove to Mt Rushmore and the National Parks pass didn't work for the entrance so we drove back and forth in front of the entrance taking photos. We decided we should go see the Crazy Horse Memorial that is also being created in a mountain side near Mt. Rushmore. The entrance fee was $20 dollars so we passed on the entrance fee because that is outside of the budget for sure. We drove all the way to Ft. Collins Colorado last night and we are really exhausted so we are going to do some small errands today....who would of thought we would run out of time, there are so many things that we wanted to see and places to go so we are cutting the list and will have to rush around now. Also if anyone is wondering I will be returning to my place of employment on the 27th of September.......AAAAHHHHH!!! Posted by Picasa

Devil's Tower

We arrived at Devil's Tower and Susi hasn't been feeling well. I dragged Susi up to the cliff to do a climb and well we kind of got lost and wandered around a bit looking for the climb we were planning on attempting. Needless to say we didn't do the climb we started out to do and we didn't summit the tower. We did however manage to to at least one pitch. Posted by Picasa

Wild Iris/Sinks Canyon

We have arrived in Lander Wyoming and have been enjoying the free camping at Wild Iris and also in the town park. Can you believe that they let you camp in the tcenter of town in the park for a maximium of three days what a BARGAIN. The camping at Wild Iris has been chilly at night which is to be expected since the cliff is located at 9,000 feet. The photo is of Susi below the cliff at Sinks Canyon. Posted by Picasa

The Tetons

The Tetons....not much else to say but beautiful. We will also be spending more time in the Tetons in September so we only starred at the mountains for a bit and jumped back in the hot rod and kept driving to Lander. Susi and I have figured out that we are running out of time and have so much still to see so our stays in some locations will be short and we will have to do some driving....Pedro and Dom??? Where are you??? Mom are you still looking at the website no comments for weeks??? Miss everyone out there. Posted by Picasa

Yellowstone

We drove through Yellowstone on our way to Lander Wyoming and saw tons of wildlife in the short day that we were in the park. We decided not to stay long since we would be coming back through the park with Mutti and Papa in early September. Posted by Picasa

French Coulee

That is me cleaning a route in the French Coulee in Washington State. It was tough saying goodbye to all the French Canadians so we thought we should climb at a place with French in it or go have French fries something in memory for all of you out there. Posted by Picasa

Muscle Beach Look out

We left Squamish and headed to Skaha with a bunch of friends that we have made in the past few weeks. As you can see from the photo I still haven't managed to get a tan even though it has been 30 degrees every day. The life in Skaha has been very relaxing ...not to say the rest of the trip hasn't but we wake up and go swimming and have breakfast then go climbing and back to swimming and eating dinner in the park and music provided each evening by Pedro and Justin. Hey guys thanks for the fond memories and we hope that the trip home was safe and fast...see you in the fall. Posted by Picasa

Hula Girl has been replaced

The Hula girl has been replaced by the new mascot Bob the eggplant. Bob has been getting kind of wrinkly and smells pretty bad but the Hula girl's glue hasn't been sticking because of the heat on the dash board ....man is it hot here in Skaha. Posted by Picasa
